There are roughly 700,000 street dogs in Thailand today, and an estimated 200 million stray dogs worldwide.
Giving to animal rescue organizations is an important part of Breathe & Bark’s mission. I studied Conservation Biology and Sustainability in college, and protecting biodiversity and animals is very near and dear to my heart. We support three different rescue organizations in Thailand, and for every bandana sold $1.00 goes to one of these organizations. One of the organizations is Soi Dogs, and
another is A Man that Rescues Dogs.
The third organization is the Elephant Nature Park near Chiang Mai. I had the opportunity to serve as a volunteer at the park and it was a wonderful experience. They have over 80 rescued elephants and the park is also home to 450+ adoptable dogs! When you purchase a “Chang” bandana (chang means elephant in Thai) $1 goes to the dog rescue at the park.
Are you a rescue dog?
I’d love to hear your success story and feature you and your rescue on my soon-to-be Dog Blog.
